The assets under management of sovereign wealth funds and public pension funds have been rapidly soaring. Their appetite for direct investment opportunities has been on the rise too. Once typical passive investors in stocks and bonds, sovereign investors are now on the look out for direct exposure to alternative assets – from infrastructure to renewables and properties.
